GREENFIELD


County Bridge
Hancock-Greenfield Road, Greenfield, NH

Built in 1937. The original bridge on this site was built in 1852, but a 1936 flood severely damaged it, so the current bridge was built in its place.

 

SWANZEY


Charleton Bridge
Carleton Road, Swanzey, NH

Originally completed in 1789, the bridge was reconstructed in 1869. Records indicate the original cost of the bridge was 15 pounds sterling.

Sawyer's Crossing Bridge
Off Route 32, Swanzey, NH

Built in 1859, this bridge was repaired in 1983. The original bridge for this site was completed before the Revolutionary War, and when it was rebuilt, in 1859, there was a celebration that drew the attention of New Hampshire's governor. Also known as the Cresson Bridge.

West Swanzey Bridge
Main Street, Swanzey, NH

This bridge was built in 1832, and crosses the Ashuelot River.

Ashuelot Bridge
Route 119, Village of Ashuelot, Winchester, NH

An elaborately decorated bridge, built in 1864.

Coombs Bridge
Old Westport Road, Winchester, NH

Built in 1837, this bridge sits on a road that was once significantly important to the area's transportation. It was restored in 1971 and continues to need repair work today.
